crafts market australia hold markets in the suburbs around victoria. for the month of april, it has been extended to the vicinity of the city at waterfront city, docklands. i have been to the market at red hill and i find that the market at docklands pales in comparison. there were not as many stalls and the atmosphere wasn’t as bustling as the main featured locations. however, if you’re in the area these few weekends, no harm taking a stroll along the water front.

 nevertheless, i did manage to make an interesting purchase today.

i have not been to the market at the flemington race course, but i do presume it to be similar to the market at red hill or mornington. so if you’d rather have the whole works, the next market at flemington race course will be 29 april.on the ground of the waterfront city are embedded bronze stars identified by australian entertainers who made it big on an international scale. one of these entertainers who apparently made it really really big is john farnham because in his honour/horror is erected a life size sculpture that actually makes him look like a captive of jabba the hutt (i.e. encased in carbonite a la hans solo).
