death by paper cut

{December 31, 2005}   milestones

the geek once said, “you tend to drive past milestones, the ride is more important.”

milestones are indicators of achievement, they also give direction and focus.

life is like a self-drive, some people have rickety old cars, others have sleek supermodified ones. great if you have a fun companion to enjoy the ride too, take pit-stops with and seek respite at motels at.

after a while, getting to the charted destination isn’t all that important anymore, because you realised that you’ve already “arrived”.
