most countries strive to invent symbols that can be iconically recognised and exported. to a certain extent, heritage is also an invention because the powers that be have strategically chosen to conserve some and sweep others under the rug. while walking about the southern part of the city, i had the chance to observe these momuments vis a vis the individual.
