death by paper cut

{November 20, 2008}   swoosh!

the last and maiden ride on a rollercoaster was in goldcoast movie world. it goes up, it goes down so fast you don’t know what hit you. all you know is that you have to go along with it kicking and screaming because you can’t get off.

the imagery in comparing that to life however, isn’t all that accurate because the downs in the rollercoaster is the thrill you are looking for.

in any case, i’ve figuratively had a rollercoaster ride in the past couple of weeks. there was so much work to get through and ugly kinks to sort out. i hate having to be the one to get down and dirty with the real deal to smooth things out at work regarding some discrepancy or policy or unsatisfied customer.

the thrashing out at work today was something i did all i could to prepare myself for, so much so that it has caused me fitful nights and in the day -i’ve dared not jinx it by talking too much about it.

but like with everything else, the days will come to pass and things will eventually become water under the bridge until the next tide.

work is pretty much in hiatus mode for the next couple of weeks except for the periods at a time that i need to take for prep work.

as for now, i’ll enjoy catching up with my closest counterparts who have flown back from the far corners of the globe, near perfect vision after going under the knife next week and the day out with the geek for his birthday gallivant later today.
